Purpose of role

The Liquid Quality research team accelerate Edrington's research strategy, supporting all areas of whisky production. The use of reference materials is an important tool for demonstrating the validity of test and calibration methods and a potential means of establishing the traceability of measurements produced using said methods. Reference materials play an important role in underpinning the accuracy and validity of measurements made within our working environment so when selecting a reference material, we need to have confidence in the materials stability and long-term performance. The purpose of the internship is to provide a QC reference that is fit for purpose for our internal methods.
